Best Practices Include:
- Select the CAT based on the learning objective(s) of the module or topic.
- Select a CAT that is appropriate to the learning being assessed.
- Explain the CAT to the students prior to implementation.
- Review/analyze the CAT as soon as possible after submission.
- Share results of the CAT with students. How might you modify your teaching based on results? How can students improve their learning based on the results?
- Make the changes in teaching as needed.
Remember ---- CATS are used to enhance teaching and learning not to determine grades. Results from your CAT allows you to make changes in your teaching and identify student learning needs.
